John Bigwood has gained in-depth experience as an arbitrator in commercial and international arbitration. He is registered on the arbitrator lists of the American Arbitration Association, the ICC and CEPANI. John Bigwood is also an expert in business litigation, especially in the areas of contract law and company law.

John Bigwood regularly assists Belgian and international companies in commercial transactions.

He was chairman of the French language section of the Brussels Bar from 2004 to 2006.

John Bigwood was a judge substitute at the Commercial Court of Nivelles from 1985 to 1990 and judge substitute to the Brussels Court of Appeal from 1998 to 2002. He resigned from his duties when he was elected to the chair of the French language section of the Brussels Bar.
