Thomas Gernay
specialises in tax law.
He has substantial experience in advising companies and entrepreneurs with a focus on corporate tax, also in an international context. He assists clients in all matters related to their operational activities and their holding and financing structures. His practice covers acquisitions and reorganisations, tax due diligence, fund structuring and management compensation.
He regularly assists clients in tax audits and tax litigation matters.
He has also developed valuable expertise in European and international taxation, including evolutions in relation to tax avoidance, state aid, transfer pricing and digital taxation.
Thomas is a research assistant at the University of Antwerp in corporate and international tax. He is also a member of the International Fiscal Association (Belgian branch).
Prior to joining Simont Braun, he worked at a leading tax law firm, within the tax team of an international law firm and as a full-time researcher.
