Axel Maeterlinck

Axel Maeterlinck has broad experience in corporate law, domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity, venture capital transactions and governance matters.

He regularly advises clients in a wide variety of sectors, including food and beverages, insurance, distribution, healthcare and digital finance.

He also advises family shareholders of listed and unlisted companies on corporate governance matters and he is a member of several boards of directors of holding companies and family offices.

Axel also represents clients in judicial and arbitration proceedings, especially in the context of post-M&A or shareholders’ disputes.

He is a scientific collaborator to the Economic law Unit of the ULB Private Law Centre. He also contributes to the biannual update on national legislation published in the Journal des Tribunaux.

Axel Maeterlinck is notably a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and of the Institute of Directors (GUBERNA).
