Marius Jacqz

Marius Jacqz practices banking and financial law.

As a member of the Digital Finance Team, he specialises in financial regulatory matters relating to financial services, with a particular interest in digital finance, payment services, e-money and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance. Marius also has a keen interest in criminal proceedings.

Prior to joining Simont Braun, Marius gained experience within a legal department of the European Commission. He also holds an LL.M. in European Law from the Institute for European Studies, from which he graduated magna cum laude, ranking first of his class. Through these experiences, he developed a strong understanding of the various dimensions of economic regulation at EU level.

Marius is also involved in academic activities and taught legal methodology at ULB for two years.  In 2026, he participated in the final round of the European Law Moot Court Competition in Luxembourg.
