Junior Banking, Financial Services & Insurance lawyer

Simont Braun is looking for a Dutch-speaking Junior Banking, Financial Services & Insurance lawyer (0-5 years of experience) to join their team.

You will be part of a top tier banking, financial services & insurance practice, with a focus on new technologies.

As a member of our team, you will take on a diverse and exciting job. The range of work includes regulatory advice and assistance (including licence applications), contract drafting and negotiations (terms and conditions, partnerships, etc.), and litigation assignments related to our practice.

Typical files include: setting up challenger banks and payment institutions, assisting international financial services and e-commerce groups with their arrival in Belgium and Europe, supporting (inter)national authorities with the roll-out of large projects, working on emerging topics shaping the financial and digital industry of tomorrow (crypto assets, artificial intelligence, decentralised finance and Web3 applications), representing clients in complex financial disputes.

Your profile

You hold a Belgian law degree with excellent results.

A real team player aiming for excellence and working with rigour, a quick thinker looking for creative solutions.

Willing to understand the client’s sector, challenges and strategy to offer adequate solutions.

Dutch native-speaker or equivalent. A perfect oral and written knowledge of English. Good command of the other national language is nice to have. Excellent drafting skills.
