Michele De Risi
Michele De Risi focuses on insolvency proceedings, including judicial reorganisations, transfers under judicial authority, bankruptcy, and liquidation. He advises companies on restructuring and insolvency matters across diverse sectors such as industrial, pharmaceutical, digital, and commercial.
He is also active in dispute resolution and litigation, handling complex cases involving insolvency law, contract and tort law, real rights and security interests, shareholder disputes, and fraud.
Alongside his practice, Michele has authored several publications on the law of obligations, real rights, and insolvency law. He was a finalist for the Georges Boels Pleading Prize, awarded by the French-speaking Brussels Bar (2025).
Before joining Simont Braun, Michele gained experience in insolvency law, contract law, and civil and commercial litigation at two Brussels law firms.
