Arnaud Bouten
Arnaud Bouten focuses his practice on intellectual property law, with particular experience in the life sciences sector and patent litigation. He also advises and represents clients in trademark and software copyright disputes, and maintains a broader practice interest in commercial law, market practices and data protection. His work spans both contentious and advisory matters. In addition, he assists clients with contractual and negotiation work across a range of sectors.
Arnaud completed the Research Master Programme at KULeuven in 2021 and further specialised in intellectual property law through the Advanced Master in Intellectual Property Law and ICT Law at KULeuven, completed between 2021 and 2023. He also spent a semester at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin.
In patent law, Arnaud has published on ‘Arrow declarations’ in the recognised Belgian intellectual property journal IRDI. He also has a strong interest in public law issues and has gained litigation experience in matters involving procedural language requirements and public law frameworks, including whistleblower protection.
