Urban development & environmental law

Urban development and environmental law have an important and growing impact on business and conduct. They are also a material part of any real estate project or transaction.

We have an extensive practice of these increasingly complex matters, such as permitting, soil management, assistance with prior mandatory environmental assessments, discussions with authorities and legal defence, in all three of the country’s regions.

Robust legal and practical assistance

Our experience extends to practical questions such as the sensitivities of issuing authorities on aspects beyond the legal texts and ways to lift blocked situations, or technically demanding aspects of real estate transactions

Our in-depth knowledge also allows us to advise on, and devising ways of, limiting the risks of permit refusal or procedural irregularities which could later invalidate obtained permits, and thus avoid potential far-reaching consequences.

Our practice includes questions of compulsory acquisition (expropriation or eminent domain) as well, both for government authorities and private operators, and the litigation pertaining to it.
