Fanny Laune
Fanny Laune enjoys broad experience in commercial litigation (including insolvency proceedings), in addition to in-depth expertise in corporate/M&A.
Fanny assists Belgian and international clients before the Belgian courts for all their commercial and corporate issues (notably shareholders’ disputes, commercial lease agreements, bankruptcy, judicial reorganisation proceedings, liquidation, etc.) and provides advice on these matters.
She was a teaching assistant in civil procedure at ULB for more than 10 years and she is currently still a scientific collaborator at the civil procedural Law Unit of ULB. She therefore has particularly in-depth knowledge and experience of the field, which is highly valued by our clients.
Fanny Laune is a registered mediator in civil and commercial matters at the “Commission Fédérale de Médiation”.
She is ranked by The Legal 500 as a Rising Star in Dispute Resolution and recommended as a Key Lawyer in Corporate M&A.
Fanny has authored several publications in civil procedural law and related issues. Recently, she co-authored the three volumes of a compendium on general civil procedural law (X., Droit du procès civil. Volume 1, 2 et 3 – sous la direction scientifique de Jacques Englebert et Xavier Taton, Limal, Anthémis, 2018-2019-2022).
Fanny Laune is a recipient of the Paul Foriers Prize (ULB – 2004) and the René Marcq Prize (ULB – 2008). She also completed an LL.M. at UC Berkeley School of Law in 2011-2012, under a Fulbright scholarship.
