is a senior associate in intellectual property and ICT. She is specialised in trademarks and design law, as well as in appellations of origin and geographical indications.
She assists renowned Belgian and international clients in high-end trademark disputes in various sectors, such as the luxury, engineering, food and beverages, retail and IT sectors.
Furthermore, Julie advises clients on different aspects of distribution agreements, consumer protection and general commercial law. In this context, she regularly guides companies in setting up their general terms and conditions and drafting contractual agreements.
Julie practises in English, French and German. As a German native speaker, she is a key asset to our IP team as we are frequently consulted by companies established in Germany seeking advice and/or representation in court by a German-speaking lawyer. Julie is also fluent in Dutch and Spanish.
Julie is a member of the AIPPI, of the French Association of Trade Mark and Design Law Practitioners (APRAM and of the German Intellectual Property Organization (GRUR).
Julie is ranked as a Rising Star by IP Stars.
Since 2019, Julie is an author in IP and ICT law for the law review RDC-TBH (Revue de droit commercial – Tijdschrift voor Belgisch Handelsrecht).
