Nikita Tissot

Nikita Tissot mainly practices corporate law and financial law. She assists  various types of corporate clients including corporate groups and shareholders in the framework of mergers and acquisitions, company reorganisations, private equity transactions, structuring of shareholders’ relations, and regarding financial regulations.

Moreover, she advises family offices and shareholders of large listed and unlisted companies in relation to all corporate issues, including corporate governance, structuring of shareholdings and shareholders’ agreements.

She specialises in corporate law. This includes notably the implementation of the Companies and Associations Code, related regulations and case law, comments on the Shareholders Rights Directive II, the application of transparency regulations for listed companies and practical instructions issued by the FSMA. Over the past few years, she has also developed a strong knowledge on UBO and ESG regulations.

Nikita authored several publications in these areas and participated as an orator to a number of conferences on these subjects, and notably on the reform of the Belgian Companies’ Code. She co-authored the Précis on Corporate law, ed. 2020 (Droit des sociétés, Brussels, Larcier, 2020), the second edition of the ‘Répertoire Pratique du Droit Belge’ devoted to the public limited company (Société anonyme, RPDB, Brussels, Larcier, 2021),  and on the impact of the new Book 5 of the Civil Code on M&A practice (La réforme du droit des obligations et ses incidences sur les différentes branches du droit, Larcier, 2023).

She also gained practical knowledge of the companies’ environment thanks to secondment missions within a payment institution.

In addition to her practice, Nikita is an assistant lecturer at the Université Catholique de Louvain where she has been giving seminars in Corporate law since 2017.
