is a senior finance & insurance lawyer (regulatory & litigation).
He advises and represents both companies and regulated institutions in a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters (e.g. MiFID II, IDD, AML, and GDPR), as well as in relation to financial, insurance, and credit product regulations (e.g. PRIIPs). In this context, he regularly assists FinTech and InsurTech companies in developing and adapting their products to the legal requirements of their target markets.
In addition to his practice, Thomas is an Assistant Lecturer at the Free University of Brussels (ULB), where he has been giving seminars in the law of Contracts & Torts since 2014. This university mandate enhances his practice with robust contract & tort law foundations. This enables him to also advise clients on more general commercial issues and represent their interests before the courts or arbitral tribunals.
Thomas is the recipient of the Georges Boels pleading prize.
He studied law both in Belgium (Free University of Brussels – ULB) and in the UK (University of Oxford).
